I'm still in trauma, I think. Someone broke into my condo and took away my laptop and wallet and god-knows-what. And I actually caught him in the act of running out of the unit. I was scared, I still am. The guy was caught and he's in the police station now. I'll have a longer day later as I have to go back to the polics station for my statement then off to the fiscal's office (i think) for the inquest. I got my laptop back, but I will never have that peace of mind again.
You can never be too safe, nor can you be too ready for things like this.
The worst thing about this whole incident is that they couldn't find my wallet. I have to call the credit card companies and the banks and get new membership cards, ATMs, credit cards and other discount cards, get new government IDs. Oh! What a night.
Good thing I have friends who were there to rescue me. Thanks Nicky, Karen, Al, Gracey, Perc, Chris, Misterhubs, Rocky, Bogz, Calvin, and everyone else! I'm okay now, safe for the meantime, but I don't wanna go back to my condo alone.
I din't think I'd still wanna live there.
